What is the differnce between “waterless cookware” and other pot/pan sets??
I want to get my roommies a gift before I move out of the country in May and I was thinking of a pot/pan set because they're moving into a new house and their pots/pans are BAAAAAD. One roommate keeps talking about the "waterless cookware" - but honestly, I can't afford that. Both "waterless" and others seem to be made out of stainless steel. Does anyone know what is so special about "Waterless"? Thanks! ![]()
In my wedding registry what cookware set should I choose?
I definitely want Calphalon. But should I go with the Stainless Steel which is so pretty, or the anodized aluminum that has the nonstick coating?
I have never cooked with pans without the nonstick coating before, what should I expect if I do go with the stainless? Any reviews on the cookware sets?
What's the best kind of cookware to buy?
I have a 0 gift certificate to Macy's, and I want to buy some cookware with it. The only problem is, I'm not a cook (I want to learn) so I have no ideal what kind to buy as a basic kitchen set. Should I get non-stick? I'm clueless.

What is the best cookware to get?
I am moving out and want to get a quality set of cookware, but what's the best? I've seen stainless steel, try-ply stainless steel, non-stick, and hard-anodized. Money is not an issue because I understand that it is worth the money to get a quality set of cookware.
I am concerned about the cookware that is the nonstick coating. While I don't mind handwashing it as suggested, I am concerned about scratching which can resulting in the chemicals being released in the cooking.
Which is a better buy: Wolfgang Puck or Emeril Cookware sets?
I am looking into purchasing a professional-grade yet affordable cookware set. I have seen both of these as highly recommended, however the emeril is slightly more expensive. Can anyone recommend which is a better purchase? I need stainless steel, over safe, and am an avid amateur chef so quality and performance is very important. (I am also open to other suggestions if you have). Thank You!

Why do professional chefs use stainless steel cookware if they’re so difficult to clean?
I'm looking to get a cookware set and wondering why I should/should not get non-stick, but I also want to do things right.
Thanks

What causes the “pitting” in stainless steel cookware?
I have both mixing bowls and cookware made of stainless steel. Both of these show dark pitted areas. I don't cook with the mixing bowls and have never hit or damaged either one. Is it the type of food used in them, like acidic items? I am sure it is the quality of the product, but how do you tell when buying?
How do you prevent food from sticking to stainless steel cookware?
I want to get a professional set of cookware but I'm afraid of food falling apart and burning the food and pans so do you have any pointers on how to cook on stainless steel?
