Your food supposedly stays hotter in it. You can even put it in the freezer to get it cold if you are serving something cold in it.  Must work pretty much like a thermos.  I would like to know if anyone uses this kind of cookware and some ideas of good things to do with it.  The bowl is medium size.</p>
