What's your opinion of teflon coating on cookware?

We have very nice Revere Ware cookware that we got as a wedding present. My mom is worried because it is coated with teflon. Should we worry about this? What's the deal? If this is not good cookware, then what is best to use?

I’m in the market for a new cookware set, and want to steer clear of anything teflon….?

I don't want anything with teflon anymore, and am a bit interested in copper. Any information on brands or types of cookware sets I should look into would be great! Thanks so much ahead of time!

I just switched to stainless steel cookware from teflon. The teflon was flaking off & getting in our food- yuck!! But now it seems, no matter what I use- the food sticks ALOT to the bottom of the stainless. I never had this probmel before- help! Any advise whould be helpful- as I am very new to this!! Thanks!

We are looking to buy some new cookware but want to stay away from Teflon. I'm not a big fan of stainless steel either, so maybe ceramic?

Have you tried Titanware? or what kinds of cookware are good? I need some new cookware?

I saw a demo for Titanware at Sam's club - they seemed good and they were non-stick. I wonder does anyone have these kinds of pans?

I really need some new cookware and I really do NOT want to get anything with Teflon - because of the cancer causing effects of it. I want something that is healthy to use and if it is non-stick that would be cool too.

Oh, and if you know how to cook with stainless steel and not have the food stick to it - how do you do that?

All my teflon cookware is peeling and not usable anymore. I want to get new cookware, I would like nonstick, but I want something that will last and not poison me. any ideas?

I'm considering purchasing a durable cookware set and want the benefits of non-stick cooking but don't want to use teflon. Some options I've looked at are anodized aluminum versus stainless steel or copper bottoms. Any suggestions?

Is it really unhealthy to use aluminum cookware? What should you use instead – cast iron?

Someone told me that aluminum cookware can ultimately contribute to dementia. That sounds a little extreme and I don't know if it's true (hopefully not because I've been using that kind of cookware since 1990...)

But if you go with an alternative, should it be teflon coated? Old fashioned cast iron cookware? What (if anything) would be a healthier option?
